Had a smooth flight landing at Heathrow this morning. We were pleasantly surprised to get through passport control quickly thanks to the Canadian biometric passport.
All of the Canadians that we met today were very “flagged up” just like us. No surprise there.
The majority of the day was spent navigating the British train system to get from Heathrow to Margate. It went incredibly smoothly.
We are extremely happy with the condo that we rented, it gives us a nice view of the North Sea and the freighters and ferries going by.
We will explore the area in more depth tomorrow when we are better rested and not fighting jet lag so much.
