Checked out the Red Light district first thing. It has been gentrified and much different to the early 90's when Mike was last there. Considering all of the sex trafficking and exploitation issues, it is a very good thing however Paula was very disappointed. We did get to see the Monkey Pub in the Red Light district which did mollify her a bit.

We then used the hop on/hop off canal boat to make our way to the Albert Cuyp Market where we managed to pickup some local cheese and a Stroopwafel. From there we went to the Van Gogh Museum which was pretty busy considering we had reservations but amazing nonetheless.

The Netherlands is playing Germany tonight in the Euro qualifiers so we will be joining the Dutch fans in the hotel pub. In the interest of keeping good International relations between Canada and the Netherlands we will be cheering for them.

One thing that has stood out to us over the last 2 days is how nice and friendly the Dutch people have been. All of our interactions have been wonderful with them.

We went down to the hotel bar to watch the Netherlands/Germany game. We thought the whole country would be watching but when we asked them to broadcast the game on TV they seemed confused. Being polite Dutch people however they put the game on for us and one other German fan came in to watch the game with us. It ended in a 1-1 tie with a lot of confused Dutch people wondering why 2 Canadians cared about this game so much.
