Our final full day in Amsterdam. We spent the morning resting and catching up on some chores such as laundry and banking. (imagine having to take a rest from being on holiday!!). We would then head into the centre of Amsterdam as we had 8:45pm tickets to the Anne Frank Museum.
We had dinner at a really cool noodle franchise called Wok and Walk. They have them in Canada but only in Montreal at the moment. You customized your noodle order from a touch screen and the order was ready in under 5 minutes - much faster and healthier than McDonalds. We then went to the pub with the coolest name ever - Cafe Brakke which translates to "Cafe Hangover" in English.
Our evening in Amsterdam ended with a tour of the Anne Frank Museum. It was a very heavy experience but beautifully done. We were both moved when we saw the pages of her actual diary and the rooms that they were written in. The museum patrons were also very respectful and well behaved.
Our time in Amsterdam ends tomorrow as we have a 6 hour train journey to Berlin. We are definitely going to miss the people here as they are super nice however we won't miss the constant threat of being hit by a bike.
