We made the almost 650K train trip from Amsterdam to Berlin today. Although it is a long way, the train was very comfortable and the first part of the trip went well.

On the way we passed the VW World Headquarters in Wolfsburg, the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument in Porta Westfalica and the Telemax Tower in Hanover. While changing trains in Utrecht we also got to witness the future when we saw a drone cleaning the windows of an apartment building.

We are staying in Potsdam due to the Berlin Marathon happening on Sunday. It is a suburb of Berlin and where the famous conference was held in 1945. Our hotel is 2 KMs from the station however it took us 2 1/2 hours to get there due to lack of Taxis in the area along with construction and a very poorly documented tram system.

All worked out in the end as our room is very nice and relaxing. We are here for a 4 night stay.
