We had a late afternoon train booked to Prague which allowed us to spend some more time in Berlin seeing some sites that we had previously missed before. The train station close to our hotel in Potsdam is a carry-over from the East German times and was quaint in an unusual sort of way.

Our first stop in Berlin was the Alexanderplatz. This was followed by a sombre visit to the Holocaust Memorial which was very moving.

The 4 hour train ride to Prague was very scenic, especially as we got close to the Czech border. It was by far the nicest intercity commute yet. It was dark when we got there however you could still make out how beautiful the city is. Our hotel is right next to the Charles Bridge.

We washed down the travel dust with some Czech beer which is as good as everyone says it is. They kept a tally of the number of pints we were drinking with a little card they left on the table. We were too tired to fill up the card tonight 😏

Looking forward to touring this beautful city tomorrow in the daylight!!
