The day started by navigating Vienna's wonderful Tram system which took us to Mozart's burial place. He died in 1791 and was buried in a mass grave. They did not know the exact location but have a memorial at the approximate place. It was fascinating to visit such an old graveyard and it was a serene environment.

We would then venture into the heart of Vienna where there was much to see and do. We would visit St Stephen's Cathedral, Mozart's House, Heldenplatz Square, The Hofburg and the State Opera House just to name a few of the sites.

There are so many beautiful buildings in Vienna that it is simply overwhelming. Unfortunately the tourists were also out in force and dealing with the crowds got very tiring. Fortunately our hotel is located in a non tourist section and we were able to have dinner outside at a nice quiet café.
