Started the day at our favourite coffee shop in Salzburg - Cup & Cino (Thanks Brenda!!)
Went on a tour of the Eagle’s Nest and met a New Brunswick couple who were all flagged up. When we told them we were from Toronto they wanted further proof that we were actually Canadians. “Toronto” is the common answer for Americans masquerading as us over here.
The Eagles Nest was a fantastic experience. Not only is it very historical but the views of the mountains are sublime.
We then stopped at the scenic and historical town of Berchtesgaden where we had lunch at a pub that had been around since 1645 and we imagined the Nazi Soldiers drinking there during WWII.
Took the late afternoon train from Salzburg to Munich. The first part of the journey was through the Alps but things became more industrial as we got closer to the centre of Munich. Going to rest up tonight to be ready for exploring the city tomorrow.
